waste

A new car, a big house, swimming pool, new Harley to. All these things take money and effort to keep up and to keep clean. Jesus never owned a thing, all he owed man was friendship, he paid that all on the cross. He never really owed that, he just loved man so much, he gave it. Why did Jesus not have material things, even a tent or boat, he was always going across the lake or speaking from a boat. He never owned these things because there was no need, his work was with people, the things in life hinder us in reaching out. We can use our house as hospitality, but Jesus was hospitable with all, house or not. He helped others and was there, he did not have to be at a house putting on a roof or other things He was there for the people. He never received anything for his healing either.

hear

Let those with ears, hear the gospel. Jesus talked about the people listening but not obeying, you think they were the same as they are today. People listen and turn a blind ear and never receive the word. If they gave Jesus a chance they would discover the truth.

stimulus

Is the stimulus going to help you or just put the country in jeapordy, we can't pay on the national debt now without paying half on interest. Say we just started taking care of ourselves and not worrying about the rest of the world? What if Americans actually bought American goods?? How about the car companys?? Sure made in USA means assembled here but the profit goes to Japan and Germany or Korea. What if the profit went back to the USA and we bought American elctronics?? Do you think the people that complain, like the government would get out of their Lexus and order USA cars?? If the government bought fleet vehicles from the US carmakers and weapons from our weapon makers would this help. Just a suggestion folks.

questions young ruler

Have you ever felt held back from following Jesus, because he might ask you to give up something??

The young ruler found peace, after he obeyed, should I take this into consideration??

Can a rich man get to heaven?? Many have and they help others here on earth.

Do you think living in a country like America, it is harder to follow Christ??

because of materialism??

rich young ruler

He had met this Jesus and could not forget him, even though he had left, and did not like Jesus telling him to sell all his things and give to the poor and follow him. He had it all ever since he was a child he had been denied nothing. He was rich and liked it. Why did he go to Jesus, because he felt as if there had to be more. Being rich was not enough, he had a hole inside that giving sacrifices did not fill. He was searching for God, for a better relationship, he gave to the synogoge didn't he. He sometimes gave to beggars. He was nice to people and he took good care of his servants. He heard about this new Rabbi and how people were changed just from one meeting, he knew the Pharisees did not like him, or the Sadducees. They never seemed to like anyone, and they were very full of themselves. This Rabbi did seem to attract the poor, yet he had heard of his healings, and Jesus had healed some rich people also.
He just could not get the way Jesus had looked into his soul and seen the sin of selfisness there.
He had it all and wanted to keep it, but if he wasn't happy, then did money mean anything.
He started small, and gave the school some things they needed, he felt very rewarded, and he
had not even told them who it was from.
He helped his neighbors get a cow so they could have milk for their children. Then he helped other people get two goats so they could start a herd.
He helped people that was trying to make a go of it and it really felt good, and it seemed the more people he helped the more money he had.
He went to find Jesus to tell him, he was giving and that he wanted to follow him. He found
one of his disciples after a long search.
The disciple told him Jesus had been crucified, and rose again. He did not know what to say the disciple took him to John and John discipled him. He asked Jesus into his heart and found He was a new man.
He never needed wealth to be happy, he was happy giving and not hoarding and inside he had found peace.
He found what he was looking for when he obeyed Jesus, he wish he would have done it the first time, but still felt Jesus smiling on him.

homeless

Jesus was homeless on purpose, his purpose was to take care of the people God sent him to. He never had to do work on his home, or worry if someone would take his possessions. The rich young ruler was to sell everything and follow Jesus?? Would you, think how freeing and how you could help others and not worry about what you have or don't have because God has your back, he will feed you and clothe you, just do his business.

black hole

A star burns out and creates a black hole, a vaccum that sucks in everything in sight and it is never seen again. Satan is like that black hole, he was once a shining star, God's premeir angel then he let pride get to him. Now he is like that black hole trying to consume all of Gods children he can.
